Chelsea Matter joined KTF Films as the associate producer of the documentary, Love Hate Love, which premiered to critical acclaim during the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival and premiered on the Oprah Winfrey Network in March of 2012. This marked Chelsea’s transition to the film world after producing the Discovery Network’s hit series, Build it Bigger. This experience brought her all over the world, from skyparks in Singapore to bridges in San Francisco, telling the stories of people and projects that are defining countries and changing lives. The show’s “Hong Kong Bridge” episode, on which Chelsea was the associate producer, won the DGA Award for Best Reality Program.
Prior to this, Chelsea worked as a writer and producer on the pilot episodes of The History Channel series, Sliced. She was an associate producer on episodes of The Final Report and Biography. Chelsea started her career in television journalism, working as a news writer and field producer at WGN-TV in Chicago and NBC-11 in the Bay Area. A graduate of Stanford University, Chelsea’s broadcast credits include producing and writing programs for The History Channel, The National Geographic Channel, The Discovery Channel, The Science Channel, Plum TV and A&E.
