KTF Films is an independent production company based in Northern California. Since 2006, we’ve been crafting powerful, feature-length documentaries that have premiered at top film festivals, screened in theaters worldwide, and reached global audiences through platforms like HBO, Hulu, Discovery+, Apple, and Amazon. We also had the pleasure of creating a documentary series for Disney+. At the heart of our work is a commitment to telling human stories with depth, integrity, and cinematic vision.

Don Hardy

DIRECTOR / PRODUCER

Don Hardy is an award-winning filmmaker known for powerful documentaries that blend cinematic craft with social impact. His latest films are BAR, which explores the world of elite bartending, and Linda Perry: Let It Die Herea raw and intimate portrait of the iconic artist. In 2021, Don also directed and produced Citizen Penn, chronicling Sean Penn’s humanitarian efforts in Haiti through J/P HRO (now CORE).

He created and directed The Way Home, a three-season documentary series on homelessness, and co-directed Pick of the Litter, which inspired the Disney+ series of the same name. Don served as showrunner and director for the series, bringing his signature visual empathy to a broader audience.

His films have screened at festivals such as the Toronto International Film Festival and Tribeca, and are streamed on platforms including Netflix, Hulu, HBO, Amazon, and Discovery+. A former journalist, Don has received six regional Emmys and multiple national awards and served as a U.S. Envoy for the American Film Showcase.

Justin Levy

Justin Levy is an independent producer of all things documentary, ranging from features on HBO and PBS to series for Hulu, Netflix and AMC. His films have premiered at Sundance, Tribeca and SXSW, with credits including BAR, Linda Perry: Let It Die Here, Unless Something Goes Terribly Wrong, Oh Yeah!, Broadway Rising, Snowy, Well Groomed and Supergirl.

Justin has directed short documentaries released by The New Yorker and Vice, and produced a short with director Barbara Kopple for the 2024 Democratic National Convention. He is the associate producer of 2018 Academy Award best short documentary nominee Knife Skills.

Justin was a 2022 Impact Partners Documentary Producer Fellow and is a Southern California Regional Representative of the Documentary Producers Alliance. Prior to working in film, he worked as a public radio producer at NPR stations for 6 years.

Stefanie Lindeen

PROJECT COORDINATOR

Stefanie Lindeen is a project coordinator and field producer at KTF Films. The role allows her to combine her years of experience as a studio and account manager with her strong background in visual arts — including, writing, painting, design, and photography.

Stefanie has more than 20 years experience in project coordination, working as senior account manager for Deutsch Design Works, and studio manager for Voicebox Creative, Octavia Wellness, and Design Studio.

She co-founded Teahouse Studio; a creative space for writers and photographers, and Mabel Magazine; a print publication dedicated to telling the stories of female creatives. Her photography has been published in Taproot, Mingle, Mabel, Design Sponge and Just Us Girls: 48 Creative Art & Craft Projects for Mothers and Daughters to Do Together.

Shawn Dailey

Shawn Dailey is a producer, talent manager, and former touring musician with over two decades of experience across the music and entertainment industries. He began his career as a bassist, touring nationally by age 17 and later signing with Warner Bros. Records as a member of Rock Kills Kid, co-writing their Top 10 hit “Paralyzed.” He went on to tour and record for eight years with Hole, Courtney Love’s post-grunge revival, and has collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Tommy Lee, Ice-T, blink-182, and Eminem.

In recent years, Shawn has made his mark as a documentary producer. His credits include the award-winning Take Me to the River, celebrating the musical legacy of Memphis; Citizen Penn, chronicling Sean Penn’s decade of humanitarian work in Haiti; and Linda Perry: Let It Die Here, a raw portrait of the legendary songwriter and producer.

As a talent manager, Shawn represents Jerry Harrison of Talking Heads, as well as Anthony Bozza, the New York Times best-selling author known for his music memoirs with Slash, Wyclef Jean, Mick Fleetwood, and others. Shawn’s work continues to bridge the worlds of music, storytelling, and artist advocacy.
